Our themes for this month will include friendship, turkeys and thanksgiving. November also brings many thoughts of gratitude and appreciation we cannot wait to hear what all our preschoolers are thankful for. The children especially enjoyed showing off their wonderful costumes and the annual visit from Professor Egghead! We will now welcome the first week of November discussing “Dia de Los Muertos” (Day of the dead). October was such a busy month filled with lots of fun and exciting activities. Thanks to Robert’s family we already have a Santa suit and just need to find a perfect Santa to introduce to the students. This would be a nice treat for preschoolers to see Santa after their Christmas Performance (TBA). If you are and would like to be Santa this year please email me or our room parents. We are so grateful and we thank you so much for your continued support. If you would like to purchase books for our class, a list will be posted. If you have a love for books and would love to come and choose your favorite story to read to our preschoolers at the book fair, please let us know. To help get them get excited, we will be making a visit to the book fair. Scholastic is making a visit to our school! This is a great opportunity to introduce our preschoolers to many great books. Also, please let us know if you plan on attending so that we can make sure there is enough food to go around. A Thanksgiving potluck signup sheet will be posted by our sign in/out book for parents who choose to participate. For those who would like to bring something, such as juice boxes, green beans, mashed potatoes, pumpkin pie to list a few that your child likes to eat/drink and share with the class, we would appreciate it, but it is not mandatory. Lunch will begin at 11:45 and end at 12:30p.m. Preschoolers would like to invite friends and families to their Thanksgiving lunch potluck on Tuesday, November 22nd, so please join us if you can. It is a time for turkey, friends, and family but most importantly it is a time for giving thanks! What is your preschooler thankful for? Thanksgiving is a wonderful time of year. Application for FREE or REDUCED ($0.40/day) lunches are also available, so please come and take advantage of this wonderful program and fill out an application to see if you qualify. Lunches are ordered monthly and prices of the lunch are $3.00 a day. Sebastian School is now offering a lunch program for preschoolers. This will encourage them to imitate you later on. As the weather changes, please make sure to check your child’s cubby for warm clothing and a jacket.Īlso, to keep us all healthy during the cold season, please help promote these healthy habits by consciously modeling behaviors such as washing hands, sneezing/coughing into your elbow in front of your preschooler. November is here and we can start to feel the cool breeze. Thank you to all of the parents, families, and volunteers who helped! Thank you especially to our room parents for all of your organization! Our students had an incredible time! Everyone looked so cute parading in their Halloween costumes. Monday was such a fun day! Our annual parade around the school and experimenting with Professor Egghead was a great treat for preschoolers. Thank you so much for your support in our school’s Hop-a-thon!
